One more thought on MINIMUM standards for a new page
I've been seeing more movie pages created for films that aren't out yet, which isn't bad (look at the SUCKER PUNCH page, it has enough identified guns to merit a page), but seriously three new movie pages for unreleased films have an instance of just ONE gun? One of the pages has one gun and it's an UNKNOWN gun to boot.
The entire point is not to rush out to list EVERY instance where you see a gun in popular media. The point of IMFDB is to be a COMPLETE and thorough resource documenting the usage in films and other media. I've said many times (and it's in the rules), NO PAGE is better than a lame page. Either the pages are complete or have enough 'content' to merit waiting until the DVD comes out, or away they go. |

Trust me MPM I know how you feel. There is a reason that I don't really want to be an admin any time soon as I know I will simply go nuts on the deletion of lame and or incomplete pages. Just doublechecking links to movie pages is at times a Pain in the ass becase all it is is a list of guns and nothing else for the most part. Maybe I'm just tired of shitheads who won't do their own work and I'm stuck playing garbageman.

The purpose of imfdb is to be the first to create a page!
It's a race! Zoom zoom! Sigh, no it is not. There are some pages that obviously have a lot of work put into them, but still have pitiful quality. Rainbow Six: Lockdown comes to mind. |

The IMFDB Video Game Page Paradox: screencapping games is far easier than screencapping movies, yet it is a far less common practice.

As long as people continue to equate achievement with quantity of pages, we'll keep seeing these crappy pages. |

Anything released on the DS isn't going to be detailed enough to get a page. The only PSP titles I've seen are GTA: LCS and GTA: VCS, which were both ported to the PS2. |

There's at least two Call of Duty DS games on the site. One has caps, but they're probably from the developer. |

Trust me on this one, using printscreen to get game screencaps is ludicrously difficult. You have to alt tab to an image program and copy the screenprint every time.
Say you want a particular frame of an animation; with a film you just advance frame by frame until you get it. With a video game, you need to hammer on a real screen cap button(ie, output img file to a folder somewhere) and hope for the best. Seriously that RS: Lockdown page is bugging me. I might have to download that from steam just to correct the page, but damn have I heard that game sucks. |

No not really-just play it in Windows Media Player and play in windowed mode, I've screen-capped and completed over 45 films and every single one was done using print-screen.

How do you run games in Media Player?
