Default looking for gun guys opinions

I'm going to start a SBR projects in the next few months and cant decide what i want to build.

My first choice is to try to build a 552 commando like firearm. I can buy a Sig 556 Patrolman and then have the barrel cut down to a 8.9" barrel and then throw on a 3-prong flash suppressor.

Or I could buy one of ATI's new MP5 designed AT-94 in 9mm. Then have the barrel cut down to a 8.9" barrel and then slap a collapsable stock on her.

Or lastly i could purchase a RONI system for my glock 19 and then have some extra cash for a improved scope likely a ACOG 1.5xx16.

Just looking for pros and cons on what is worth the time and money?

Why go that short? theres a reason most dont go below 10.5 inch, thats generally the accepted length for reliable cycling and effective powder burning (on your .223 options.) Id get a noveske CQB or Crusader.

Im looking for a CQC option and want as small as possible and human accurate at 50-100yards...the Crusader and noveske are too much like my other AR platform and doesnt go short enought on the stock...i like the folding option.

If you can afford it, try to get that ATI MP5 clone in 9mm. Would be sweet just to own one.

I can special order myself the AT-94 for around $1290...but i have the Sig Patrolman 556 in my store and i could take that home for $1100. It all really comes down to how the 9mm and the .223 will act in a 8.9"

Do you prefer to have a shorty .223 or an MP5 Clone? personally I would want to have the MP5 clone just for kicks
