Ill only go against someone's choices if they truly suck, like: "I bought this Lorcin to defend my family."

If that's all they can afford, you can't bash their choice. Also not every gun owner may be that into guns, so why pay $500 for something when you can spend $100 or 200 and it does the same thing. Lorcin's are truly shit guns, my dad has one. As long you feed it round nose ball it's reliable.

The bad thing was that perps were using the cheap guns as single use assassination weapons that they could throw away. Now that was an unintended consequence, but being that on the black market, you can get anything, including high end weapons, the cost of the weapon wouldn't be a factor anyway. A local tv station did a 'gang' related piece where they showed some 17 yr old banger in Oakland california. He showed off his GLOCK 17 he bought for 50$ on the street. I was thinking ... "where the hell can I get a Glock for 50 bucks?!?!?!" It was stolen of course, but you can get a Glock for $50 if you're willing to deal with unsavory types of people. Like drug traffickers, that entire underground market has little to do with the legitimate marketplace and law abiding customers.... |
