No, you could not. I would shoot you first. Anyone worth their salt carries the particular slide mounted system chambered double action, safety off. The disassembly thing is really, really overplayed, and if you really dislike having a safety (which is VERY easy to take off with even one hand, on Beretta's especially), buy a 92G.

Why would they have the safety on? When Jet Li did it all quick like, the latch was already turned down. http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Image:LWmexstandoff.jpg
Also just about any semi-auto pistol can be made useless. Just press the gun out of battery. But I wouldn't want to try it.

I slingshot my slides and would hate to turn a safety on doing this.

I have never done this, and have never heard of anyone doing this, and you don't have to grab around the decocker anyway, or in other words, it can VERY EASILY be overcome by practice, reason number 2. Also the Beretta's decocker in particular has some spring pressure keeping it up, so even if you do happen to grab around there, it's not going to just get stuck in safe.

And again, if a safety REALLY bothers you, there is the 92G.

Or other brands that fit in my hand better, like cz, sig, 1911s.

That's fine, just don't HATE the Beretta or it's battery of arms. I like my Hi-Power over just about anything, but I don't HATE what else is out there.

Can we still intensely dislike one or two of their firearms? Or is that no longer allowed?

I dont necessarily hate beretta, they are reliable and accuarte, just none of their product line appeals to me. Id take one over a glcok though

I would love a custom BHP someday (better sights, bigger safety, mag disconnect removed.)

You have specifically used the term "hate" when describing the slide mounted safety decocker, though, and that's an ignorant thing to say. That's what I'm pointing out.
