Derringer
I was thinking about buying a derringer, but i don't know much about those, so i would ask if anyone knew what to look for when buying one.
I personally like the Colt 4 Derringer, but as said, i don't know much about those. -Creed |

Do you want to fire it or is it purely for collecting/display? If you want to fire it then do not go for a 4th model guns. They are made of cheap pot metal, and the early guns didn't even have a barrel liner meaning the rifling was gone after a few shots. Later guns had a steel barrel liner, but they were still not very good and were not intended for anything other than display. Also bear in mind that it only holds a single .22 short round, making it vastly inferior to pretty much any of the "modern" derringers.
If you do want a firing derringer, you can't go wrong with a Bond Arms. They are built like a tank with the frame and barrels being stainless steel, have a safety, and the barrels are interchangeable for pretty much any caliber from .22 LR up to .410 shotgun shells. |

I want it for firing. Most for fun, as i usually shoot with a .22 Ruger Mark III Standard, and i thought it would be fun to have a derringer.
Thank you very much. I will go look at Bond arms. |
