You guys are making me feel old.

For me, we're talking westerns. True Grit - The Wild Bunch - and Josey Wales. Then early action movies like Bullitt - The Killer Elite and The French Connection. I'm a big McQueen fan and "The Hunter" is still one of those movies I can watch over and over again.

I was raised around guns as my family was all sportsmen, hunters, USMC, police officers and gunsmiths. I learned the phrase "That would never happen in real life" as it applied to movies when I was VERY young.

Die Hard. The first 18 cert movie I ever saw and it blew me away. I wanted to know what the MP5s and Steyr were, where I would get them and if I would look good in a vest.

It was a tv show for me miami vice and the bren-ten and that sholder holster. Tv cops with 38s looked dumb after that.

I've always liked action movies and first person shooter games, and I've always liked weapons. Swords, knives, martial arts and of course guns.

First movie that really interested me in guns enough for me to look them up was 'Way of the gun' it was the first movie where I was given graphic examples of different guns and their advantages and disadvantages in actual gunfights. Opened up an entire new realm in my appreciation for firearm usage.

Mission Impossible II. This movie is what turned me into a hard core gun lover. The action sequences were so awesome!

Aliens. I think I was in third or fourth grade. It was like a video game come to life.

Heat. I was curious about the weapons that Al Pacino and Tom Sizemore were using, and that piqued my interest about movie gunfights in general.

I saw Magnum Force when I was fourteen on VHS (1982). I wanted to know more about both Colt Pythons and S&W Model 29's. Around that same time I saw Sharkeys Machine and I was hooked on handguns.
