The runner up of season 1 shot himself in the leg when his serpa jammed and he was pressing too hard to get it out (downfall of the crappy serpa holster). Of course shooter error there as you should know not to do that. Weird though he put a bullet in his leg. Of course, the whole department he worked for banned serpas.

I don't think the SERPA is a crappy holster, but I think anything that goes into the trigger guard of a gun, especially with a gun that has no manual safety and a light trigger weight is a deadly combination. But hey, it's the evolution of tacticool.

Edit: the SERPA didn't discharge the gun like I thought, he did the textbook "press the button too hard and KABOOM" deal. The point still stands that mixing a holster design which requires the trigger finger with a gun design that has a free, light trigger with no safety devices, coupled with a lack of training by the shooter on the aforementioned holster design, is not a good combination for oneself and others around them.
