Default The Blade Thread

Heres my well worn crkt m16, great blade, light to be confortable and big enough for good use, when cutting lines the serrations saw through like its nothing and we get a real nice feel in hand, the safety of a double lock, and it looks cool. Only grip is the screws on the clip sucked, one fell out and i needed to locktite the 2 remaining screws. Its fairly fast to deploy but may need oil every once in a while.

Now im looking at a benchmade triage, seems to be the ultimate rescue blade and is in cg recue orange which is cool. Maybe even get a kukri (great camping blade and its a kukri, which is awesome.)

Got any favorite blades?

The CRKT is a bit bigger than many of the tiny edc marketed blades but it is still very light due to all the milling on the handle bringing down mass. a big blade is more useful to me. I like the partially serrated edge (many knife snobs hate them) but i am frequently cutting rope at drills and it comes in handy.

Currently I'm still carrying my Coleman fixed 4 3/4" blade. Want to invest in a Boker Magnum Blitz button folder. They stopped selling it in my cutlery magazine Kensaw. Don't know where else I can get it (since I don't use paypal or credit cards to buy online).

Why do so man "knife guys" bash partially serrated blades? It cuts rope or nylon/webbing type material so much easier, its very useful.

I don't like the melding of a saw and knife on a small blade. Plus they're nearly impossible to sharpen correctly, and frankly, I can achieve the same affect with a straight blade on rope.
