Keep in mind this is the main sidearm of a gunsmith. It is very well tuned and has an excellent trigger pull. Plus the pachmyrs make gripping the gun very nice.

Thats the thing with 1911s, so much rides on the internals, i see that style and think of 7lb single action pulls when it may be a nice light one. Think of upgrading sights, those look stock.

I agree with Zulu. We don't tolerate porn (even if it's softcore)!

They are stock, but my dad likes the sights as they are. I can still hit what I'm aiming with them so they work for me. They're thicker than the GI issue .45s, so I like them. If I ever get my Cara gun built I'm going to put nice 3-dots on it though.

3 dots the way to go, or even a bar/dot setup, i hate stock 1911 sights, steel on stell makes it impossible to see contrast over a dark target and is slow to pick up. In about 9 months ill be 21 and ordering a fusion 1911 with 5 inch barrel, 25lpi front strap checkering, hardwood slim grips, extended controls, extended beveled magwell, undercut trigger guard, novak adjustale tritium sights, no front cocking serrations (look ugly) and serrated top of slide with three hole trigger and commander hamer. Not sure on color pattern though

Cause everything the military uses is top notch right....oh wait they issue mostly crap. Find a SWAT team issuing GI 1911s, or get the military model to feed hollowpoints.

Are you responding to me? It's not the military aspect, I just like the classic look. I know, I'm too picky about looks.
