Looks like a SIG-Sauer P226.

That was my first impression but I just wasn't sure (something about it just seemed different from the P226's the agents in my office carry, for whatever reason). Thanks for the help!

I'm not convinced it is really a P226. Firstly, the slide doesn't look like it extends far enough past the end of the frame. Secondly this gun has a railed slide but an internal extractor which I think is a pretty rare combination, they are pretty much a German made special edition. Here is one, but that image highlights to me how short the slid on the mystery gun looks.

I think the railed slide is what bothered me the most about the pistol in the screen cap. I haven't been able to locate anything that resembles it in my searches. That's why I went with "appears to be" in the show's article until I figure out what it actually is.
Thanks for the help. |

Perhaps it's a smaller SIG like the 229 or the 225

You can see the double stack bulge in the first cap, so it's definitely not a P225.

My initial guess would have been a P228R (shorter slide, internal extractor) but the trigger guard looks the wrong shape to me.

Maybe it's a REX

Just doing more searches and making comparisons, it looks more like a P228 than the 226, but the trigger guard almost looks like an H&K USP...
I want the article to be as accurate as possible and unless I get the props department to clarify the weapons for me, I'm at a loss on this particular gun. I am considering changing it in the article from the 226 to the 228... |

I'd have to say the same, you mention the trigger guard but don't 228Rs have the 'hooked' guard akin to the 226s? That being said looks like the grip is awful large though, more full-size than compact. Maybe just an extended base mag but still.. If that's the case then maybe what we have here is a custom PPK/S-ish build with the large frame and short slide, akin to the 220 'Carry'.
