One more thought on MINIMUM standards for a new page

I've been seeing more movie pages created for films that aren't out yet, which isn't bad (look at the SUCKER PUNCH page, it has enough identified guns to merit a page), but seriously three new movie pages for unreleased films have an instance of just ONE gun? One of the pages has one gun and it's an UNKNOWN gun to boot.

The entire point is not to rush out to list EVERY instance where you see a gun in popular media. The point of IMFDB is to be a COMPLETE and thorough resource documenting the usage in films and other media.

I've said many times (and it's in the rules), NO PAGE is better than a lame page. Either the pages are complete or have enough 'content' to merit waiting until the DVD comes out, or away they go.

Trust me MPM I know how you feel. There is a reason that I don't really want to be an admin any time soon as I know I will simply go nuts on the deletion of lame and or incomplete pages. Just doublechecking links to movie pages is at times a Pain in the ass becase all it is is a list of guns and nothing else for the most part. Maybe I'm just tired of shitheads who won't do their own work and I'm stuck playing garbageman.

Sigh, no it is not. There are some pages that obviously have a lot of work put into them, but still have pitiful quality. Rainbow Six: Lockdown comes to mind.

Not really, you'd need special equipment to cap a console game. Anyone with a PC and a DVD drive can cap a movie. And short of actually snapping a digital photo of a screen, I don't think there's any way to cap a game on a DS or PSP. (Or does the PSP have a digital out?)

As long as people continue to equate achievement with quantity of pages, we'll keep seeing these crappy pages.

On PC titles all you have to do is hit Print Screen, yet pages for PC titles are just as lacking in photos as most other games.

Anything released on the DS isn't going to be detailed enough to get a page. The only PSP titles I've seen are GTA: LCS and GTA: VCS, which were both ported to the PS2.
