I remember in Blackhawk down, they had an M16A2 fire in burst once

I'm talikng about movies released in 2008. Blackhawk down is released in 2002.

Then check out the ones I mentioned. Although "The Incredible Hulk" actually has a mix of A2s and A4s (with the carry handles left on).

Again, why the interest in the M16A2 in particular? That variant is getting a lot more rare in movies/TV shows these days, because directors now prefer to use the more modern M16 variants, such as the M16A4 and the M4A1.
