I find it reprehensible to demean the history of any people for such a petty reason like complaining about one's job. And MT2008, how would you have reacted if someone made such a reference to Stalin's atrocities? Would you be angry?

Don't you think "demeaning" is too strong a word?

Honestly, no. The people I get angry at are the leftist anti-Americans and Che Guevara-T-shirt-wearing morons who seem to be incapable of recognizing atrocities that weren't committed by Nazis, or Americans, or white Westerners in general.

As long as someone isn't an apologist for communist mass-murder, I am not particularly offended. After all, a metaphor comparing one's boss to Stalin, or one's job to the Gulag, is still a metaphor which implicitly recognizes that Stalin was a monster and that the Gulags were horrible. And, likewise, so does MPM's metaphor about Auschwitz.

BTW, what do you think of the phrase "Young Turks"?

I like I saw a che geuvara shirt with "I have no idea who this is" written under his head.
That sums it up. Che was a joke, I wonder why people think of him so highly.

I'd wear that t-shirt.

I'd buy 31---one for every day of the month.

I like Che. I don't like it when people slander his good name by saying he's communist. He's a Marxist idealogist, and revolutinary (and if MT2008 has anything to counter this, go ahead. I respect him, but it's like we're complete opposites). Anyway, I hope our relationship with Cuba improves now that we have a Democrat in office and Fidel's brother is Cuba's leader.

I thought I'd point out that Protest Warrior used to (maybe still do) sell shirts that have Che's picture and say, "War is never the answer...Unless you're a socialist guerilla!"

Sorry, but...you just lost major respect from me. You are exactly the kind of liberal I can't stand...the ones who are apologists for thugs like Che.

Che was very much a communist. Though admittedly, he was also a racist and a homophobe, which goes against Marxist ideology. Anyway, this book is pretty much the rebuttal to yourself and anyone else like you:
