Default Team America

Ok, Someone wants to make another Team America: World Police page. I know we deleted the previous version for various reasons. Anyone want to comment on the page and wether or not it sould be on the database.

Personally I say no way as none of the "guns" in the film are real nor are they particurly accurate representations of the weapons. I personally have more accurate 1/6th scale weapons in a box in my closet.

If a decent page can be put together. I would agree to let it stay. They may be a smaller scale but at least you can handle them.

We have one stop-motion page with moderator approval, so it would probably be best to say "it needs to be at least this good, or no deal".

I agree with predator20 and Pistoljunkie. The deciding factor would be if it's a well-made page with good screenshots backing up the IDs.

The firearms in team america look way better and are easier to identify then some of the crap that is allowed on videogame pages.

I might be wrong, but all of the guns used in that movie looked exactly to me like 1/6th scale weapons - the same ones you can buy from toy/hobby retailers. When I was a kid, I used to have lots of those (in fact, one of mine was an MP5K-PDW which looks identical to the ones used in "Team America").

The replica weapons used in the film are all clearly intended to copy real guns and are realistic, so I don't think it's necessarily bad to have a page which identifies what the weapons are supposed to be. And I still fail to understand why so many IMFDB members have this attitude.
