I was originally going to use THAT as the label, but those jokes are supposed to oppose what can actually happen and... you can't stab a bayonet. And in reality, a bayonet does stab you, Russia or not. So I didn't use that.

Wow, that guy must have no common sense at all. Nice bunch of AKMs and FN FALs though.

As MPM put it on the Ultra Violet page, these guys are an efficient "Polish firing squad".

The unfortunant thing about that statement is that I know a Polish Reservist and while he is a very smart man he has to deal with outdated soviet era equipment and training. Give them modern equipment and training and they are as good a troop as any Western millitary force.

Well a "Polish firing squad" means when everyone stands way to close to a target while surrounding them and potentially puts themselves in danger of CQC attacks.

I thought only the 40mm grenades had this safety. The safety on the 40mm grenade is shut off after the round spins a certain amount of times.

A rocket just flies until it hits a solid and the shape charge activates. So I don't know about the 70mm rocket not going boom right there on everyone.

Well I've never seen a demo of it, but a rocket the moment it is launched however the distant, it'll explode the moment it hits something solid.

I suppose in theory you could link an RPG's arming to the main motor igniting since they already use a delay for that. I'm not certain if any actually do that, mind, and obviously that wouldn't work for weapons like the LAW that ignite their motor inside the tube.

The RPG-7 is perfect for close in fighting. It has a minimum arming distance, cheap but effective sights, and requires limited training to attain proficiency.
