So basically it's the same reason he doesn't get along with other users, write properly or understand the concept of following rules. |

MPM, I know this might be a tedious task, since you have literally hundreds of images from your own armory on this site, but have you ever considered reuploading versions of them with an IMFDB watermark like this one of an M9 pistol?

That watermark could be taken out by anyone using paint in about twenty seconds.

Yeah, the trouble with watermarks is either
a) They're not on the image, so you can just paint over them with the background colour or snip them out or b) They are on the image and ruin it. Though I've seen some from IGN are just a slight shift from the background colour you can't really see it unless you're looking for it (I think it's a photoshop template of some kind that slightly alters the colours it's placed over). This had one rather infamous consequence when Capcom couldn't find a file copy of the boxart to a game they were re-releasing: Look in front of the wolf's mouth if you can't see it. And yes, it was actually released in stores like that. |

True, but removing it shows clear intent to violate copyright. ANY watermark can be removed with enough skill and time in Photoshop. All we have to do is show the original image WITH the watermark and per DMCA rules, the site must remove it. You can never STOP piracy, but you can take steps to PROVE piracy after the fact.

If there's a way to lock the images from being copy and pasted though, that would reduce image jacking. Some could still Print-Scrn it, but most image thieves (such as Moviemaster1993) are not likely that smart or have a large enough attention span to perform such a task.
