How would YOU know? I've never even heard of either Aspergers or Aspies until this forum mentioned it.......

I don't know I only heard of the term after my diagnosis. I guess it's about how you use the term and under what context it's used.

Heck I know of a forum where they banned the use to the word Gyped as it was insulting to a couple members of Gypsy ethnic background.

"Gypsy" is not quite a slur, but it is incorrect to use. The proper word is "Roma". It's a bit like calling Native Americans "Indians".
