Default When does a hobby become an addiction?

If I'm honest with myself, years ago. But then I wouldn't have awesome stuff like this Spencer 1860 carbine:

Is that an original Sharps or a replica?

Well, it's not a Sharps at all, it's a Spencer repeater. But yes, it's an original US Army issued M1860 carbine, built sometime between 1863 and 1865 (from the serial number I'd guess 1864). If you look close at the pictures of the butt you can still see the government inspector's cartouches.

If you ever feel like kicking your addiction, I will take on the task of seperating you from the cause of your addiction and keeping all of it out of the hands of some poor soul

For some reason i want to collect service pistols in 2 categories:

Modern and Curio/relic

A C&R licence will be sweet when i can get one.

I have a thing for full size 9mm service autos. More shooting fun than anything, this is from a .45 acp guy.

If I were to collect anything, it would have to be S&W metal frame Autos

The smith 459 should have won the xm9 trials, but those were rigged from the start for beretta to win.

The 459 was the only entry to pass accuracy requirements and passed the mud test and round count, then was disqualified for being blued steel, smith could easily parkerize it, but we wanted that base in italy.

If I would have had $350 last time I went to Collectors, I would have a 459

Could have got a used 559 for $250 at ammotogo's store in Brenham
