My new gun
I decided it was time to add another pistol to my stable so I picked up a Sig P229 in .40S&W. I bought it used but it's in good shape.

MSRP for the P229 is $976 without night sites. So depending on where you shop for a new one it probably ranges from $850-$900. Like I mentioned before I bought it used from a gun shop. I paid around $650 for it. There are a few small dings on the frame which you can see in the picture, but all in all it's in pretty good shape. I haven't shot it yet but I've shot p229's before and they are very enjoyable.

Id love a p229 elite dark with both barrels (40/357).

Good choice! P229s are nice. Did you buy it as a Certified Pre-Owned? They tend to be pretty cheap, and SIG makes sure they're in tip-top shape. I've heard CPOs are usually a pretty good bargain (although I didn't buy my P226 that way).

The CPO may have finish wear but all parts are in such good condition its accuaracy and reliability will be like new.

Nice gun! I've heard good things about the P229. Sooner or later I'm going to have to pick one up for my self

Thanks. I've only heard good things about Sig's. Planning on getting anything extra for it? Also what's this business about the DAK?
