Default Gun Identification

I'm posting here because I had this identified as a Winchester 1200/1300 and someone disputed it because of the forearm.
And I guess other people can post here if they can't identify something else.

I don't think it's a Mossberg because of the trigger guard.

It's not a Winchester or a Mossberg. The shotgun is a Smith & Wesson Model 916.

Smith & Wesson made the Model 916 here in the United States. When it became a large failure due to quality problems it was dropped in 1972. Smith & Wesson then contracted Howa Industries in Japan to make the Model 3000 pump shotgun and the Model 1000 semi-auto shotgun. Those models were built with the intention to displace Remington from the law enforcement market. The Model 3000 was a Remington 870 clone well built but 870 accessories did not interchange with the 3000. When Smith & Wesson was not able to displace Remington the project was dropped. So ended S&W move to make shotguns.

Well now I know what shotgun was used in 1968 Tunnel Rats. Thanks!

And whoever debunked it based on its pump forend needs a better version of differentiation, since shotgun pumps can be switched out. You can base it on the safety location, trigger guard, magazine tube cap, and far better methods.

If that's the only differentiating factor, then it can be. There are some forearms which are very distinctive and as far as I know, never used on another manufacturer's shotgun. I would probably never see a mossberg style forearm on a Remington because they don't fit (I know, I've tried) You can try to custom fit a forearm, but it's a pain because you need to alter the contours on the inside of the piece.

The revolver is a H&R Model 632 Revolver in .32 caliber.

It could be a K98k with a sporting stock. Not every gun is fit for only one type of stock.
