The list of Official reasons for banning someone...

Per IMFDB's original rules as set out by Bunni back in 2007...

1) Inserting false information (and obviously NOT a simple mistake, this also applies to continuously posting erroneous information; it's either intentional or the author is too stupid to be an IMFDB member )
2) Removing contents in whole or in part of pages, unless it is a section that you yourself created and posted (an exception is a minor deletion with an explanation i.e. "A question that I posted has been answered ...") Usually only obvious vandalism is targeted, not just site cleanup....
3) Spamming or linking to external spam sites (unless IMFDB users WANT imitation designer purses or Viagra, but I doubt it....)
4) Inserting nonsense or gibberish into pages (you would not believe how many people type in nonsensical passages into pages on IMFDB)
5) Intimidating Behavior or harassment - this means going on profane rants or making threatening insults or comments. Harassment means doing something over and over again when its obvious you should NOT be doing it. We are starting to apply this more and more to members who do dumb or inappropriate things and constantly challenge us and argue their case over and over again. Being a pest is NOT a good thing on this particular site.
6) Abusing multiple accounts: not often but it happens, we usually ban people who have been previously banned and just pop up with a new account to create havoc. Usually they can't stay hidden for long, since their obnoxious nature raises its ugly head soon enough.
7) Unacceptable Username (usually politically charged or offensive or racially divisive but can be anything that other people look at and go "Really? You had to call yourself 'that'?") It's good that we have a policy that allows us to ban someone with a REALLY offensive screen names right off the bat.

Any others? Seriously, I think people should have a three strikes policy when it comes to ridiculous or lame pages. LOL! This may be harsh, so I'm just throwing the idea out there.

Or doing the same thing over and over and over again, despite being warned by multiple IMFDB users and mods. We have banned people from messing up OTHER people's pages with badly formatted additions, and they keep doing it like our warnings are falling on deaf ears. But that's more of an unwritten rule. I call it the "don't be a douchebag" rule.

What about repeatedly adding useless content? Poor screencaps, frankenguns, unnecessarily long write-ups, copyrighted images, unnecessary replacements for acceptable screencaps, etc.
