When I first saw Die Hard, I thought the terrorist pretending to be the security guard was played by Huey Lewis.

If I didn't have to give my friend a ride home, I'd be at home eating lunch by now

You can get a licence at 16, so it surprises me how many people in college had none, even the people in their 20s. And "no money" is a bad excuse, you can get a licence at 18 without drivers ed if you know what your doing.

My friend has a car (I usually ride with him) but his mom got in a wreck last week and totalled her car so she has to use his until tomorrow

Please excuse my old man rant, but here goes: I can't believe kids today don't get their licenses AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We had an intern here who waited until she was 19, my cousin waited until he had already graduated from high school, and my co-worker's son didn't get it until a few weeks ago, and he's 20! When I was in HS, people actually had their folks SIGN THEM OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY on their birthdays to go to the DMV to do their test. It didn't matter if you had a car or not. It was just something you did. I don't know anyone I went to school with, male or female, that didn't get their licenses within a few days of turning 17. Kids today, with their long hair, rock and roll...

I believe we should make people wait at least one year longer and have them drive for more than the few hours required by Driver's Ed because, honestly, teen drivers SUCK

NJ has since raised the driving age to 18, but even before, if you got your permit at 16, you still had a year to practice.
