I'm watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I'm not a huge fan of Romantic Comedies, but this one's an exception since it's produced by Judd Apatow.

Yeah, but some people are hoping for phasers and laser guns. The Spartan Laser is a one shot charge up thing. It isn't an infantry rifle. It's a heavy weapon to take out vehicles.

We only have two laser weapons that I know of in the works. One is the size of a medium machine gun and all it does is blind people. The other has to be mounted on a jumbo jet and disables missiles by burning tiny holes in them. Laser and other energy weapons of the future will not be like in Star Wars.

Just saw The Town. Fucking amazing. I consider it one of Ben Affleck's best performances.

For all of the action and the way the plot leads, you have to give Affleck and/or the screenwriters credit for not taking the (overtly) obvious way out at the end. Affleck really stepped up his A-game, here, too. You start to feel for him near the end, especially after his first confrontation with Fergie. Also, I do have to say, I'm glad they didn't follow the book (Prince of Thieves) completely through. |
