The buying shows start today so they probably want to do something special for the stores that are at the gatherings.

that was a let down...basically a bigger kel-tec PF-9. Is ruger going to be like taurus and just ripoff other companies designs...this is the second kel-tec ripoff.

On every gun forum people were begging for an LCP in 9mm. This shows Ruger actually listens to what people want. And ruger beats kel tec, seen too much kel tec junk fail.

I'll tell you one thing. I plan on getting one. I thought about an LCP but a .380? The chances of actually having to use it is slim, I trust a 9mm much more. I didn't really look at all the specs. Is it much bigger than the LCP?

http://ruger.com/products/lc9/features.html

Shows outline of lcp for comparison on the feature sheet.

Hey look, REAL sights, I like, and MSRP is nice.

..because rugers junk never fail? thats a joke. Kel-tec is smaller and has a light/laser rail, and has been around long enough were you dont have to worry about recalls...unlike someone else we know. Once again ruger pretties up someone else innovative design. At least there gunsite scout looks cool as hell.

Scout rifles were one of coopers sillier ideas....

And I put ruger workmanship above kel tec, and their customer service is top notch, they will replace a gun and pay the shipping if it fails. The kel tec doesnt impress me, and besides, the ruger has REAL sights.

Sillier?! BLASPHEMY! lol. I guess you dont hunt moving targets in thick brush. The scout scope and rifle is one of the fastest tactical design in a bolt action. And remember this was before the semi-auto rifles was accurate or reliable. In todays world there are alway better choices depending on what you are doing...but like i said thick brush and a fast target...and you'd be happy with a scout.

The scout rifle tries to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. Sure, iron sights for close up, like it. Ability to use a scope for range? Sounds good. Then you see its a side mount that needs to be adjusted in two directions, elevation and horizontal. Slower, requires more measurements, and not very handy unless you are shooting a course with set ranges and have it pre measured. Ill take a Lever action for brush hunting, and if you want a scope? Get a variable power and turn it down.....
