it would look just like new vegas with deserts or point lookout with the swamps. A fallout with snow or something would be a change of pace.

It would be like if Point Lookout wasn't retarded!

I loved Point Lookout... once I got a mod to nerf the absurd toughness of the swampfolk and tribals.

Am I the only person who wants to get the new Duke Nukem game?

Nope, people are just too tired of it being delayed to be excited about it being released

The important part is that it has finally been released.

I might have to try it, mostly out of a sense of morbid curiosity. After all, this is a game that was first announced when I was barely into my teens and is just getting released now. I can't avoid wondering how it's going to turn out. But I know that no matter what, it will definitely not be worth a 15-year wait.

Also, I doubt I'll buy it myself, but I have undergrad friends who are huge gamers and will have DNF on the day it's released. I'll probably just go to their apartment and play.

Yeah, but none of you were even in kindergarten when DNF was announced. Think about I feel...I was younger than any of you are now when this game was being hyped. I'm actually old enough to remember the E3 trailers from 1998 and 2001, and when PC Gamer magazine did a huge exclusive on DNF in their Holiday 1999 issue (yeah...back in the days when people actually paid money for print editions of magazines).

Actually, what's really amazing is that in the time it's taken DNF to get released, I have pretty much ceased to be a gamer altogether. My curiosity really is the only reason I am even considering playing this game.

The E3 trailer for Far Cry 3 had a nickel-plated AK.
I just felt the need to tell someone.

It looks good, but I was hoping for more FC2 style mercenary action like had been rumored and the ability to choose your character from a bunch of different mercs
