Then they should be told that those guns were poorly drawn and meant to be drawings of guns, not accurate depictions of guns.
The anime pages have very realistically drawn guns, so they belong here. Not 2 rectangles pasted together with a trigger attached.

You aren't making sense. "Family Guy" has some guns that are poorly drawn and not supposed to be accurate, but there are also plenty of weapons that are recognizable as (fairly) accurate depictions of Micro Uzis, XM8s, MP5s, DShKs, etc. The screencaps we had on the page clearly showed this.
