Screen captures of guns on company websites
Is this an acceptable source of images or are such images, although self-made, still considered copyrighted? I was considering doing this to get a pic of a DDM4 for the Warfighter page, but wasn't sure about the copyright status and didn't want to do anything that might bring legal trouble down on IMFDB.

I think they'd qualify under fair use for purposes of education; they're not ideal, but a lot of our images of exotic guns are ganked anyway. Go for it.

Yeah, it's acceptable, don't worry about it. Like I said, it's not ideal but the only gun images I'd stop people putting up are ones which have personal copyright watermarks on them (eg ones with Max's watermark on them from world.guns) without showing they have that person's actual permission.
