For those who are wondering, " is that Checkman's dog?" the answer is no. Those photos were taken by another officer at my department with his dog. He's recently divorced (the officer not the dog) and evidently now has lots of time on his hands. He is one of our snipers on our SWAT team - hence the bolt action rifle. For those who care it's a Remington 700 with a 20" barrel and is in .308 Winchester. The AR-15 is actually a Colt and the little revolver is a Smith & Wesson Model 442 Airweight (or is it a 342 Scandium? Don't know for certain) in .38 Spl - more than likely his backup piece.
Oh and rest assured the guns were empty when the photos were posed. Actually I think his dog must be a very good sport all things considered. |
