Default Seattle Mayor authorizes confiscation of weapons

It looks like in response to the recent Occupy riots yesterday, the Mayor of Seattle has declared a civil emergency which means that the authorities can confiscate weapons from citizens. Now it does state this doesn't apply to residential or business, but it means anyone walking around with a "weapon" will have it taken away.

Also this is an illegal order since the Mayor of Seattle doesn't declare emergencies, but the governor does.

"Additionally, law enforcement shall have the authority to confiscate any weapon or implement reasonably perceived or believed to be capable of being used as a weapon, including tire-irons, clubs, metal signs, unusually heavy-duty pieces of lumber such as bats or 2x4 inch boards and other objects that can be used to inflict bodily harm or damage to property."

Wow, that is broad.

Apparently, so yeah spread the word to news outlets and let everyone know. This is a VERY recent thing and so far almost NO ONE is reporting it

I'd think the ACLU or the NRA would've filed for an injunction in a heartbeat if they knew.
