P&R model 47
This is a relatively obscure firearm, but I don't know why. It was an excellent idea, an accurate target revolver with a special ability...muliple calibers.
It could chamber any round in the 9mm range, was most accurate or effective with 357/38 but could chamber 38 super, 9x19 luger, 9x18 makarov, .380 acp, 38 S&W, 38 LC, and useless stuff like 9mm largo and 38 largo. This is just awesom. No idea why this pistol never made it, or why nobody has made something like it. It was supposed to be a pretty accurate psitol, see them popping up sometimes, lowest price was 1600. |

It strikes me as a well-meaning but impractical idea. Guns that are designed for interchangeability tend to have problems gaining acceptance. Most people prefer multiple guns for different purposes.

With ammo being hard to find having a little more flexibility is a good thing. I think it was a really good idea that companies should take up on....too bad they wont, one reason being selling a ton of guns in different calibers makes money
