I know I designed something like that in a Shadowrun game. The basic Idea was for a weapon to arm the party Troll with that could offset the at the time badly written full auto rules that ment that you would automattically miss with a minigun fired at point blank.

Aside from being unwieldly and unreliable, their some potentional to this gun. A full sized belt fed weapon with double 0 buck would be devistating to infantry. Slugs would cut through most body armor like butter when spit out fast. Someone should make a shotgun minigun...
I love how it is litterally impossible to find a youtube chatroom that isn't loaded with arguments. This one had an interesting "discussion" about destructive devices. XD

Yeah, but that was a prop and it had to be swapped with an M134 Minigun for firing scenes.
I thought that movie sucked pretty bad, and the two main protagonists were actors I resented anyway, so I had no one to root for.
