Oh please. No blade weapon is more manly than a katana or a claymore.

In fact, a kukri is just as effective as a Katana, but you do not need to have training to use a Kukri so...Kukri FTW Last edited by S&Wshooter; 08-17-2010 at 04:05 AM. |

I have been trained in a Katana. I don't know how to use a Claymore sword cause that thing weighs a ton.

Kukris are typically MORE effective than a katana in untrained hands since the weight distribution allows for more powerful swings, even with novices. This is why they have fire axes (weighting principle similar to that of the kukri) and not fire katanas, heheh.
I would either go completely Travis Bickle, mohawk and all: Or dress up like the Fonejacker, which is similar in dress, but I would have a silly balaclava on and speak in countless silly accents: And of course I would have a gun because not having a gun is fucking suicide. Any of you who thinks they can take on dangerous criminals with edged weapons is off their rocker. Guns are the equalizer, and edged weapons are the "less than" sign (<). Blades= last resort/ stealth weapon

Yes those are two of the few applicable areas for an edged weapon, but they are still not completely practical/safe for yourself. A silenced weapon, while harder to get than a knife or something, will also do the job of stealth, and at range, and frankly sneaking up on someone with a knife is harder than you think, I doubt I could do it. As a last resort, you can carry another small gun too. I wouldn't want to get into a close range knife fight any day; so much could go wrong. My main point though was that a large edged/melee weapon as a primary weapon is ridiculous, but I would probably carry a switchblade in case my gun or guns failed me. Two is one and one is none, as they say.

Katana may be cool, but I can just take a machete and just start hacking. The Asian Machete. That'll be my name
