Looking for blanks for 1895 Nagant
I'm looking for blanks for a movie I'm working on for a 1895 Nagant revolver, either the rounds that are made for it (7.62), .32 S&W Long, or .32 H&R Magnum. I can't seem to find blanks in ANY of these rounds, or even someone to make them for a price. Even the brass, aside from simply unloading real rounds, is hard to find. Any ideas on who I should contact?

Thank you very much for that.
You can make blanks from any round. It just takes the brass and reloading, neither of which do I have. I assumed someone here knew someone who handloaded blanks for this purpose, seeing as there are several people who work on films here. |

I'm sure there are blanks for most guns. Wasn't there one used in Enemy at the Gates?

Yes, and several others. It was Russian military issue from the late 1800s to WWII, and is still seen today, so they're not exactly horribly uncommon.

Fiocchi makes 32 blanks. I've used them a bunch of times. They fit the 32 S&W revolvers I have, and they work in the 32 mag ruger single six I have as well.
They are labelled as "320" rimmed blanks. be careful not to order the 32acp. http://www.shootnhunt.com/ammunition...s/0307349.html http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemL...spx?catid=1527 http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemL...1527&mfgid=111 www.gunbroker.com search for "fiocchi blanks". http://www.fiocchiusa.com I believe you can order them directly as well, but I never have. I usually get them from Joe Swanson. http://www.joeswansonsmotionpictureblanks.com/ If you contact Joe, he might even make blanks specifically for the Nagant. |
