Even then calling California communist is extremely silly. In a bad way.

Anyway, What Branch are you in, K9870?

Coast guard, forgot that wa sonly in my profile on the other site. Waiting for the paperwork to go through and then they find a unit, send me there as a nonrate (gotta give up the crows) while they find a third class billet. Then I go to that once they find it (they said that should take like 6 months) and get my rank back. And I should have said "extremely liberal" rather than communist.

Even then Extremely liberal doesn't equal anti-gun.
Switzerland is liberal as hell and has possibly the best gun laws in the planet.

Just call it an anti-gun state.

Well, I also don't like real liberal states, I'm a pretty conservative person, not just about guns.

Not necessarily "anti-gun", but definitely pro-gun control. Which isn't quite the same thing.

Hmmm, seems we're straying into politics again. Oh, well...

Is Switzerland really "liberal as hell"? I've never been, but I have friends who have. Most of them tell me that the German-speaking Swiss, who are the majority, tend to be fairly conservative, traditional Catholic and Lutheran types. I might be wrong, but I imagine they're the rural types who would be most likely to take militia service seriously and enjoy playing with guns. The French-speaking Swiss are apparently much more liberal, though.

I'm also not sure I'd say the Swiss have the "best gun laws on the planet". It's cool that they let militiamen keep their service rifles at home, but I'm pretty sure that in most other respects, most American gun owners would rather not have Swiss-style gun control laws.

It's hard to say, but even the conservative swiss (swisses?) are nothing like the american conservatives. Shit, we're talking about a country that one of the major political parties is a socialist party.

Anyway, how is the Coast Guard? Do you get to man big guns and shoot drug dealers carrying drugs into the US?
