Oh good, no cup and saucer crap.
When shooting a .44 Mag, you need to adjust your grip slightly. Keep your shooting arm completely straight and push out with it. Pull in with your left hand. Step forward with your non-dominant leg, putting weight on it (your dominant foot should tip slightly at the toes). This is putting most of your body's weight and strength against the recoil. When shooting normal handguns the push-pull technique isn't reccomended (it is extra work), but with a .44 Mag it helps control.

But would love to have a revolver that shoots .44 but I don't know if I can handle the recoil.

I tell you what, .357 Magnum is plenty enough large caliber action for me. Without Mr. Eastwood's shining influence, the .44 Magnum would just be another one of those calibers on the shelf next to all the other ones that only Alaskans, fat truckers or dudes with small sacks buy.

I prefer(ed) my .45. Less recoil and i can fire another round than you.

Dirty Harry's grip was sadly even worse. He grabs his wrist, which is just arthritis waiting to happen.
