It's a plain jane Springfield GI, only I installed a wide spur hammer. It's not a tremendous upgrade, I mostly did it to prove that I could do it and get my foot in the gunsmithing door, but the trigger pull is a bit smoother than with the stock hammer, it's easier to thumb cock, and it looks cooler.
Very nice, I have been wanting one to complement my GC.

Winchester, id personally avoid kimber, lately theyve been having problems in the QC department. Also, its rediculously expensive for what you get, many custom guys do better work same price. Ive seen some top notch fusions or a springer custom shop job do just as good.

yea, i think i'll get another 1911. I loved that one, but needed to make the truck payment, so the 1911 had to go.

Here is my Para 1911 GI Expert. I'll eventually pick up a Colt. Also since other children of Browning are allowed my 2 Hi-Powers. My favorite handgun.

I've seena Hi-Standards before but don't know anyone who owns one who can comment on their "shittiness". Para is okay in my book however. And the Hi-Powers...... fuck, man you have some nice pistols. I'm dying to get my hands on an older one.

Trust me, they suck. No one even makes beavertails that will fit it because of the way those fucking idiots designed the gun. Also, it's made in the Philippines and the finish scratches at the slightest touch

Para's track record has been bit iffy. Mine has been good. I wanted a Springfield Mil-Spec. But none were around at the time. Hi-Power prices especially the old ones have gone up.
