Haha, yeah, I have flamed people on other forums for clips, and silencers, here I just quietly edit it out.

One thing that's come to bug me is the phrase "carbine assault rifle" that people use when referring to firearms like the M4 and G36K. I'm pretty sure it's redundant...

Well, there really isn't a reason to point it out to us, as I'm sure most of us know the difference. Most mistakes like that are made by anonymous editors.

Yeah, it almost seems like we need a guideline page for all the CoD gun experts.

My dad is a major offender of improperly using "clip". He's 53 and he has known clip as the "proper" term for magazine most of life. I constantly correct him on this, but you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I was teaching my friends how to professionally use guns today and one of them commented on how the gun wasn't loaded with an "ammunition clip". I took the gun away from him and chastized him until he got the message. I don't tolerate improper designation!

Thank you GM, jsut thank for you doing that. In fact I have refused to buy magazines from comanies whose print ads say clip. I have even flamed gun MANUFACTERERS for doing that. haha.

Like those Marlin .22 magazines that say on the package "Magazine clip", just so those assholes who adamantly say clip have some unfair leverage on the argument. I too hate that.

I just calmly refer them to this page. :P

BTW: I'm new to the forum too, but I've been around the main site for a while.

I've favorited it. Now if someone messes that up again, I can draw that site like a gun.
