What is that abomination.
Anyways I think I'm gonna buy a Mossberg 590 and do this to it: ![]() |

Good choice, a friend of mine has a similar configuration to this shotgun, but without either light. He does however have the saddle on the side

I consider it an awful configuaration. I never understood the vertical (foregrip?) on a pump gun, its bad enought to fire without a stock.

If I recall correctly they had that configuration on Ghost Ship, Duke Nukem, and Equilibrium.

Have you ever fired a shotgun with a vertical grip? It's awesome. Takes out a lot of the recoil and without the stock makes it pretty good in close quarters. But I prefer a stock, at least the telescopic one, but my pal doesn't want the stock on his

Personally I find that pistol grips on shotguns are just more comfortable to me. My current shotgun has just an aftermarket full stock with a pistol grip but I have played around with a Remington 870 with a Choate topfolder and a front pistol grip. While not for everyone or every situation they do work if you don't buy cheap and on a short batteled shotgun sometimes there is not enough room for a conventional foregrip.

IF I may correct myself....Pistol Grip ONLY shotguns are trluy awful. A stock/PG is okay. I find standard to be more confortable but a PG stock is also nice. PGO, well, lets say I like aiming my guns. The vertical foregrip doesn't work for me in any configuration, the angle feels awkward. My house I can manuver my 870 w/ 20'' barrel and regular stock just fine, with plenty of control.

When in a really small place, around corners, this kind of configuration makes it ideal for shooting in such a situation. You aim right in front of you, not with the iron sights, but with the general direction. If a hostile target is close enough, aiming from the shoulder is mute point.

I think the front vertical pistol grip is awkward to hold and makes it hard to pump sometimes. I find the flat and ridged pump on my Cruiser works fine. I might put a good quality laser on it though so I can aim somewhat without the need of a stock. I'd personally prefer a folding stock, but I live in good old New York.
