A buddy of mine once called to take with me about one of his coworkers thinking of getting a gun. Then he told me he lives in Chicago. I sighed and then told him all the steps he had to do to even BEGIN to buy a guy and then the steps for him to actually HAVE the gun

Well Maryland is a May Issue state, but I mean only IL is the only state where there is illegal to carry. A lot of states like NY and Cali makes it hard to get a carry permit, but you can if you are patient

but by "May" they actually mean not unless you carry ridiculous amounts of money or have friends in high places.
So in reality to the average citizen it is a no issue.

I'd try but it would just be a waste of my time and money. Most everyone I talk to say it's basically impossible to get a carry permit in Maryland. I know two people who managed to get one. One was a security guard at a courthouse and another was a bartender who had to carry large amounts of cash. So basically it's like canada.

Well you could always move to a nearby state

Maybe further down the road. But for now I like the area where I live, the state as a whole not so much.
