Do you know what will help more? A 20 doallar limbsaver or pachmayr recoil pad.

Dunno if that will help more, but yeah a buttpad would be cheaper and probably more functional. It won't "reduce recoil" persay, but it will absorb some of the shock, and do it without a buncha springs and plastic that could possibly snap. If you were to get the standard Mossberg stock, you could utilize the safety efficiently still, and even with a buttpad you'd be well under the price for the Blackhawk, and that money could go toward ammo for shooting and perhaps some more buckshot for defense.

When i put on a limbsaver, difference was night and day, pleasant with limbsaver, annoying with the rock hard remington pad.

The Remington stock pad is pretty stiff for rubber, and my shoulder did get a little stiff after pretty limited shooting, but it wasn't shoulder-breakingly bad. I've entertained the notion of buying one of their R3 recoil pads to see if its any better, but my shotgun shooting and customization has taken a back seat to saving up for more guns.

I decided to cut off cerberus guns now, they suck as a company, but my remington isn't going anywhere either. I got my marlin right before production switched. good thing is the former bushmaster people they laid off get to work at a cool new rifle company that should open next month, local rifles FTW
