I've just gone through it and removed the "the following weapons" header, any references to anything being "in-game" or "returning" and the upcoming template, since that says the images are from "official trailers or sources" and we don't yet know if even one of these is actually an authentic game image. Granted, if it's a hoax it's a good one, but it won't help our credibility if people are pointed here saying "look, IMFDB says it's real" and it turns out not to be.

Perhaps an "unconfirmed" template for situations like this would be something to consider?

Trouble is I'm not wholly convinced this article is in line with policy; at present we have no idea if these even are screenshots of the game. The way I've had to word it basically leaves the article saying "hey, here's some screenshots that may or may not be of Modern Warfare 3." It's not like Kotaku is known for being particularly picky with what they report, after all.

I know such an article (using purportedly leaked shots the authenticity of which is debatable) certainly wouldn't be allowed for a movie, and it doesn't exactly make for a great article when we're just IDing the guns in a rumour.

I raised that point (that there was no evidence any of it was legit) on the discussion page but it was brushed aside on the grounds that there wasn't any evidence to say it wasn't either.
