I noticed in your grip that you keep you thumb really high up. I was taught not to do that to avoid touching the slide and causing stoppages, as well as they say keeping your thumb pointed forward kind of helps guide you on the target better, since you're basically pointing at it.
But if it works for you, it works for you.

I was taught high thumbs, on a sig thumbs forward will ride the slide stop and cause failure to lock back. I shoot crossed thumbs now though.

Well I was running an 18lb spring, some say that might have been one of the causes. I had never took out the extractor to clean in, the tunnel was pretty dirty. I'll do an update when I take it out again. Quote:
Von Zippers I think. I used to shoot with the thumb low (bottom rear of the grip panel). But when I compared the two (after finding out about high thumb). I immediately switched to it. I'm going to try to take the P220 out next time. I'll see if I have to switch to low thumb, probably will have to.

I tired crossed thumbs case it seems to make my grip tighter. Also seemed easier on the draw (ive also been shooting my revovler a lot and crossed thmbs is the way to go thumbs forward will get it blown off.)

I have some footage of the 586. I think I shoot it crossed thumbs. You'll see it when I post it this evening maybe.

Seems these days everybody thinks you should go thumbs forward in the isoscelese stance. Whateer the competitors are doing is the "cool" and "correct" way. Honestly i say do what works for you, no one grip its everyone.
