I've seen some videos where the side saddle is used in speed reloads, and since it's on the receiver and not on the stock you don't have to reach as far. I'm looking into getting one as well as a bandolier. The stock sleeve seems like it would be uncomfortable to shoulder, and inconvenient for a quick reload, though it's better than nothing, and at a low price like 5 bucks it's a good value to have extra ammo.

If you are holding the shotgun properly your body won't even come in contact with the stock sleeve so it isn't an issue. It's purpose isn't really a quick reload but an extra location to place some shells.
