I have an idea that Greg's apartment has an old timey feeling to it, like he has a poster of Gilda in his bedroom. When he gets back to Cape Town, he simply just goes back to his apartment, he simply fixes himself a daiquiri, and listens to Edith Piaf's Non, je ne regrette rien while chain smoking Marlboros.

What kind of Marlboros? I'd suggest Lights (or Golds, here in the US now) or Menthol lights. They're the most popular kind

Marbolos are boring and generic, I remember in high school when every kid smoked reds cause they thought they looked cool, even though almost any other cigarette was better.

That's odd. Lights are way more popular than reds, and younger smokers today usually go for Camel lights or just regular Newports if they don't smoke Marlboro lights.
