Not really my actual property ,but I consider it my first gun as it was always at my side for almost 4 months and it was the first one I've ever fired.
Sorry, but counting the firearm you were issued in 'basic' is a little lame It ain't yours, it belongs to Uncle Sam. I fired my uncle's shotgun when I was eight, I wouldn't count that either Are M4's actually being issued in BASIC NOW?!?!?!?!?! Wow! You young 'whippersnappers!' getting all the new toys!! I'm so old and dated with the old A1!!!!!!!(not even the A2). At least I didn't train with the Garand! LOL!

1st gun gifted to me was a Savage .22LR left handed bolt action rifle when I was 6 yrs old. I still have it.

1st gun I bought was an HK P2000.

My most recent purchase was a Sig P229R.

Since I already knew how to field strip the Colt SP1 rifle blindfolded (as a kid), the M16A1 was like being asked to learn how to ride a bicycle as an adult when you've been riding it all your life.

First gun was a 1943 Ishapore SMLE Mk.III* for Sidney I. Robinson Sporting Goods (now bought out by Cabelas, where I worked for 6 months) for $119.99. Still have it.

My latest was the Colt 1905 Auto posted below.
