It is, and according to Browning all Browning A-Bolts are made in Japan. They have been since Browning shifted much of the manufacturing from Belgium to Japan in the 1970s.

Hope not.
I have actually searched google about this before I bought the rifle and I have found zero reports about it falling apart/wearing out. You probably just got a lemon. |

Even smith and wesson makes lemons, as much as you dont want to believe it. A bolts are made solid from everything ive heard.

Hey, the SW9 is good enough for the ANP.... which is really more of a comment on the ANP than the SW9.
A-Bolts are good rifles, I wouldn't worry about that. Made in Japan or not, Browning makes solid guns. Don't forget Howas were made in Japan and they were pretty good rifles. That said I personally don't like the A-Bolt, or most Browning guns for that matter, but that just comes down to feel rather than there being anything wrong with them. |
