I had a Ruger 10/22 with Tru-Glo Fiber Optic sights on it. It was cheap, easy and fun to shoot, but I essentially traded it for my 12 Gauge. Kinda smart but kinda stupid. I'd like to get another one, or maybe a .22 pistol, but I've got other stuff to buy first.
I also keep hearing rumors that .22 LR will go through Class 2A body armor, is this true or complete bull? |

Ive heard its round construction, barrel length, etc. A rifle lenghth barrel, hardcast high velocit round, close rnage, its possible, but I think unlikely. Wish Boxotrth would test type II

One of the best cartridges ever, specially for countries where bigger cartridges ara banned. Here we´re waiting for this baby, the Sig Sauer 522:

Looks like a really expensive plinking rifle.
I'd get the GSG5, the .22 LR clone of an MP5

I've seen those little GSG's all over gun shows recently. Are they any good?

Ive heard the GSG 5 is accurate and reliable, but theres not many aftermarket parts to accessorize, and its a little expensive for a .22. .22s are just fun plinkers, no need to break the bank.

The purpose I see for rifles like the GSG5 or the GSG47 is for cheap training purposes. If you had to train someone to shoot well quickly. It is much easier to use a GSG5 when one spends two weeks and 2,500+ rounds of ammo. Although I can say that Airsoft is an even cheaper method of training than .22LR.

I actually don't own a .22, believe it or not. But like alot of Canadians I learned to shoot a rifle with a Lee-Enfield C No.7 in the cadets. I was on the range team and had my own permanently assigned to me - I've got alot of fond memories of that rifle, I'd love to buy one one of these days.

I held one of them and it feel like an airsoft gun in steroids, I don´t know why GSG made the Ak (someone told me that the romanians .22 are cheaper and better) instead of another rifle, like the G-36.
