Default TV series gangland .... anachronistic reenactments

I was watching the series "Gangland" on the History Channel, and I was laughing at some of the 're-enactments' of some of the gang slayings. For instance, one of the episode was about a black gang in the 1970s. For the re-enactment of the shootout, they showed shadowy video footage of 'black hands' locking and loading Beretta Px4 Storm, USP Compacts, SIG-Sauer 2022 pistols and after a second I'm going ... WTF??? in the 1970s?

Do these idiots know anything about the timeline of guns? Why do a Civil War re-enactment and give the Confederate soldiers MP5s.....Yeah, that's the ticket ......
