The shoot was open to the public so you had alot of novice shooters useing machineguns for the first time. The range officers were under very strict instructions not to let a NFA weapon run away and the vendors were under instructions not to let smaller shooters use machine pistols or any shooter use a beltfed offhand. Basically you were blanketed by range officers and the vendors in order to ensure that everyone was safe. Unlike Knob Creek*, this shoot makes sure that the range's death toll remains zero.

I really liked how the Galil SAR felt to me. I found that I could keep short bursts minute of car door at 100 yards. The stock was about the right lenght of pull for me. If it was mine and I was shooting it alot I would strap on a padded cheek rest but it felt fine to me. With a Golani I would sugest trying it out but sometimes the Century Arms Quallity Control is lacking so you might have to find a specialist gunsmith to tune it to get the most out of it.

*Yes, people have died at Knob Creek.
