Para 1911s any good?

I don't like them either as a company, but in buying a gun secondhand that they made 40 years ago, I'm not directly supporting them anyway, so whether or not I like the company now is inconsequential.

I've only seen P14s before, but goddamn they are big compared to even the biggest double stack guns. I wouldn't even want to pick one up.
